Spiritual program for sentenced prisoners

In an environment where days often pass very slowly and hope seems distant, a spiritual program can bring light, peace, and inner renewal to every sentenced prisoner. That is precisely why the spiritual program prepared by the prison chaplain and his invited guests at the prison unit in Sabinov of the Remand prison and prison in Prešov was, through its prayer, emotional and spontaneous singing accompanied by a guitar, a unique way to reach the hearts of the sentenced prisoners. Music has the ability to help penetrate even where words alone are not enough. It helps to break down barriers and open hearts. In combination with liturgy, it becomes a bridge between a person's inner world and God's presence, it is a path to self-reflection, and support in building inner stability. For all participants, this joint meeting was not only a religious act but also a moment when they could feel that they were part of a community that accepts them.
