Legal work begins with knowing your rights

In cooperation with the Trenčín Labour Inspectorate, an expert lecture focused on labor law relations and employee protection was held at our institution. The lecture was led by the Head of the Labor Law Relations Department, Ing. Pavol Habánek, and Labor Inspector Mgr. Silvia Kolmanová.

The inmates gained practical information about employment contracts, probationary periods, agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship, illegal work and employment, and the issue of so-called "false self-employment." The lecture also included the current topic of verifying compliance with the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and the possibility of turning to the labor inspection in case of violation of employee rights.

The lecture was intended primarily for inmates assigned to the pre-release section and to the specialized resocialization and educational program "Employment." The participants took advantage of the space for discussion and asked many practical questions related to their future integration into the labor market.
