On July 29, 2026, lectures by staff from the Comprehensive Assistance Counseling Center in Martin were held at the Correctional Facility for Juveniles in Sučany.
The goal of the meeting was to introduce the counseling services to other inmates and provide information on how to address problems they may encounter after release.
The program was divided into two parts:
In the first part, the counseling staff presented their activities to the male inmates assigned to the pre-release section. After the lecture, the inmates had the opportunity to attend individual consultations. Many took advantage of this opportunity, signed a participant card, and became clients of the Comprehensive Assistance Counseling Center. Thus, they began to address their financial and debt situations while still serving their sentences.
In the second part, the staff moved on to the female inmates assigned to the pre-release room. A lecture on assistance options and subsequent individual consultations were prepared for them as well. The female inmates showed interest in this form of support and utilized the opportunity to receive professional counseling while still serving their prison sentences.
