
The lecture held at the Nitra Remand Prison and Correctional Facility in the field of human rights was accepted by lecturer Mgr. Michal Horváth from the Slovak National Centre for Human Rights. He presented the origin of the institution, its areas of activity, its headquarters, and the operations of its regional offices to the accused individuals assigned to the section with a relaxed detention regime.
In the next part of the presentation, the accused were introduced to the meaning of the term “human rights,” its historical overview, and the implementation of human rights in the conditions of the modern world. Finally, the Anti-Discrimination Act was presented, and the concept of “discrimination” was explained. In this part, the accused had the opportunity to join the discussion and share their negative or positive experiences with discrimination.
