On July 18, 2026, discussions with a member of Alcoholics Anonymous were held again at the Correctional Institution for Juveniles in Sučany. The meetings were divided into two parts. The first session was attended by six convicted women assigned to the pre-release room. The second part was intended for convicted men assigned to the pre-release section.
The main goal was to introduce the issue of alcohol addiction to the inmates through the personal experiences of someone who has gone through a similar period themselves.
The inmates had the opportunity to learn more about how Alcoholics Anonymous works, the possibilities for addiction treatment, and what support they can receive after release from prison. The discussion also encouraged them not to be afraid to seek professional help and to take advantage of available support groups.
