An ancient work dedicated to the question of justice and the origins of philosophical and legal thought came to life on the grounds of the prison in Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou. Thanks to the performance by the theater group Theatrum Iuris, composed of students from the Faculty of Law at Comenius University in Bratislava, the sentenced prisoners had the opportunity to experience the unique atmosphere of a theatrical stage on October 21, 2026.
The theme of justice, which has lost none of its urgency even after thousands of years, captivated the entire audience thanks to the perfect execution. The viewers' faces reflected immense interest and concentration. Their final vote on the guilt or innocence of Socrates was unanimous; the verdict was: INNOCENT!
The theatrical performance by the students confirmed that even in today's modern era, it is possible to elevate the significance of justice, legal process, the relationship between the individual and the state, and the boundaries of freedom of thought through artistic expression.
