In the prison sentence execution department in Sabinov of the Prešov Remand Prison and Correctional Institution, an outing for the convicted to the Drienica recreational area took place as part of the exit section program.
The goal of the outing was to provide the convicted with the opportunity to spend time outside the institutional environment, recharge, and actively relax in nature. During their stay in Drienica, they were able to enjoy fresh air, a pleasant environment, and shared moments over a good meal, along with a walk and time for informal conversations. Bus transport was provided to and from the location, which allowed for the smooth progress of the entire activity.
Such activities have their justification in the exit section. Time spent in nature and a change of scenery contribute to psychological relaxation, the improvement of social relationships, and the development of responsible behavior. Joint activities also create space for building mutual respect, communication, and cooperation. The trip to Drienica was therefore not just a pleasant diversion from the daily routine, but also a meaningful part of preparing the convicted for their return to everyday life. We believe that a pleasantly spent day in nature brought the participants new positive experiences, rest, and motivation to continue in the resocialization process.
