Visit to a partner prison at our Czech neighbors

A delegation of officers from the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps Institute in Košice-Šaca, accompanied by the director of the institute, attended a visit to the partner prison in Kynšperk nad Ohří in the Czech Republic from September 15 to 17, 2026.

The working meeting followed up on the Cooperation Agreement between both institutes, signed during the visit of the Czech delegation to our institute in June 2025.

The goal of the working meeting was the exchange of experience and practical knowledge, as well as a comparison of procedures in both prison systems. The discussion covered several areas related to service execution, with a focus primarily on employment and education of inmates, occupational health and safety, logistics, and protection of prison facilities.

The mutual negotiations created space for open discussion and finding opportunities for further improvement of work in the mentioned areas in both facilities. The visit also contributed to deepening partnership relations and continuing mutual cooperation between both institutes.
