What would you say if someone told you about life without pretense? That is exactly what the discussion was like with brothers Ondrej and Štefan Binder, whom most know by the name “Vybavenko”. They did not come to the facility in Banská Bystrica with prepared phrases or instructions. They came to tell their story—honestly, openly, and with the spontaneous humor that is characteristic of them.
During the meeting, they talked about their life journey, their beginnings, but also the obstacles in their lives and difficult situations. They didn't come to lecture anyone. They spoke honestly, with humor and without pretense.
Of course, the discussion was not just about talking. There was no shortage of questions, humorous moments, or reflections on how our decisions can influence life. For many, it was an opportunity to look at and think about their own story from a slightly different angle. Ondrej and Štefan also presented their current work on social networks, their meteoric rise, and explained their intentions and the future of the “Vybavenko” project.
Even meetings like this have meaning for incarcerated persons. Sometimes, it is enough to listen to a person who speaks honestly for one to realize that you need to start working on change today, not tomorrow.
We thank Ondrej and Štefan Binder for their visit, their spontaneous humor, time, and the energy they dedicated to all participants.
