Rhythmic tones, genuine emotion, and an atmosphere full of vibrant energy broke the daily routine at the Correctional Institution in Košice-Šaca. On September 9, 2026, the institution was visited by the music group Gipsy Taker, who prepared an exceptional cultural experience for the inmates.
The six-member ensemble from the Humenné district presented their work to the audience, consisting of both traditional and original Roma songs. The band, known for their spirited performance, energetic rhythm, and captivating vocal harmonies, won over the entire hall from the very first notes. The performance greatly interested the present inmates. The catchy tunes and authentic joy of music quickly gripped the audience, who actively participated and enjoyed the concert with interest and songs on their lips.
Cultural and educational events of this type are of immense importance for inmates. Beyond the aesthetic experience, they bring a deeper human dimension to their lives, promote positive emotions, and serve as an effective means of meaningful recreation and resocialization.
A big thank you goes to the members of the band for their spontaneity, energy, and willingness to bring a piece of living art and joy into an environment where such moments are extremely rare.
