Remembrance of the deceased: The light that never fades in our hearts

On the day when we silently remember our closest deceased loved ones and come to light a candle at their final resting place, remand prisoners and sentenced prisoners at the remand prison and prison in Košice also had the opportunity to honor their memory. They participated in a holy mass offered for their deceased loved ones. After its conclusion, they honored their memory by symbolically lighting a candle in the prison courtyard and silently remembering those who are no longer among us.

A memorial site, which is created on the premises of the prison during November, reminds not only the remand prisoners and sentenced prisoners, but also the employees, that the flame of a lit candle will eventually burn out. However, the light that a person left in our lives through their deeds, love, and memories will never fade.
