THE RUN is primarily about a shared journey, determination, and team spirit. Behind us are two nights on the course, 48 handovers, and countless emotions, experiences, and unforgettable moments.
For the fourth time, runners from the Hospital for the Accused and Convicted and the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps in Trenčín represented the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps as well as their institution at the longest relay race from Košice to Bratislava.
On the course, we conquered 533 kilometers and over 7,300 meters of elevation gain. Overcoming ourselves, incredible performances, tons of fun, laughter, adrenaline, pain, and lack of sleep. That is exactly what the THE RUN SLOVAKIA 2026 relay race was like.
I would like to thank my colleagues, with whom I formed a great team, for an unforgettable sporting experience and the successful completion of the entire route, which we covered in our fastest time yet with a final time of 47 hours, 27 minutes, and 19 seconds at a pace of 05:20 min/km. In the THE RUN FREESTYLE FULL category, we placed 23rd out of a total of 74 teams.
Last but not least, our gratitude goes especially to the management of the Hospital for the Accused and Convicted and the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps in Trenčín for supporting us in the race and being extremely accommodating, and also to the Remand Prison and Prison and Judicial Guard Corps in Košice for securing accommodation before the start.
