Convicts from the exit department drew support and encouragement directly from their families

The Košice-Šaca Prison and Detention Center continues with its successful activities aimed at the reintegration of prisoners into everyday life. On Friday, August 7, 2026, another pair of convicts had the opportunity to experience exceptional moments as part of the “Family Day” event, when they could spend time with their loved ones in a civilian environment.

For individuals assigned to the exit department, contact with loved ones is a crucial factor for a successful restart after serving their sentence. The opportunity to meet in a civilian environment offers space for honest conversations and building trust. Moreover, shared moments with family serve as a powerful impetus for maintaining a decent and upright life in freedom.
