
The Director of the Institute for the Execution of Prison Sentences Nitra-Chrenová, Col. Ing. Borislav Kročko, presented awards on September 1, 2026, granted by the Director General of the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps to two colleagues serving and working at the Nitra-Chrenová institute.
Warrant Officer Martin Babulic was awarded the Corps Honorary Medal 2nd class for a selfless and decisive act in saving lives and protecting health and property, when, as a witness to a traffic accident, regardless of the danger to himself, he used his determination, courage, and selflessness to pull five trapped people out of the wrecked cars, performed a technical intervention to prevent a fire in one of the damaged vehicles, and provided first aid to the injured accident participants until the arrival of rescue services.
Mr. Miroslav Žáčik was awarded the Corps Honorary Medal 1st class for long-term exemplary service and work in the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps on the occasion of 35 years of his continuous service and employment in the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps.
