Legal work begins with knowing your rights

In cooperation with the Trenčín Labour Inspectorate, an expert lecture focused on labour law relations and employee protection was held at our institution. The lecture was led by the Head of the Labour Law Relations Department, Ing. Pavol Habánek, and Labour Inspector Mgr. Silvia Kolmanová.

The inmates gained practical information about employment contracts, probationary periods, agreements on work performed outside an employment relationship, illegal work and employment, as well as the issue of so-called "false self-employment". The lecture also included the current topic of verifying compliance with the principle of equal pay for equal work or work of equal value, and the options for contacting the labour inspectorate in case of violation of employee rights.

The lecture was intended primarily for inmates assigned to the release unit and to the specialized resocialization and educational program "Employment". Participants used the time for discussion and asked numerous practical questions related to their future integration into the labour market.
