On June 25, 2026, the exit department of the Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou Correctional Institution hosted a discussion with representatives of the Slovak Red Cross focused on providing first aid. The convicts had the opportunity to learn about basic life-saving procedures, including resuscitation, stopping bleeding, and the correct actions to take during choking.
The meeting also included practical skill training, allowing participants to try out procedures that could decide whether a human life is saved in real life. Such educational and preventive activities are significant not only in terms of acquiring practical knowledge but also in shaping a responsible attitude toward human health and life.
At the same time, the discussion contributed to strengthening the sense of social utility and personal responsibility among the convicts, who, through the knowledge gained, realized that helping others can be an important expression of humanity even in difficult life situations.
