Family Day outside the walls

On September 19, 2026, as part of the national project "Chance for a Return 2", a "Family Day" was held for inmates assigned to the exit section. Support for family relationships was made possible for the inmates by leaving the prison gates with the goal of spending free time with their loved ones in the beautiful setting of the City Park on Sihot in Nitra, with the opportunity for a pleasant sit-down with family members.

The institute of leaving the institution has an irreplaceable place in the entire process of activities, as even short-term contact with the outside world is a positive step for incarcerated persons as part of their ongoing resocialization. The exit from the Nitra institution was carried out with an electronic system for monitoring persons, accompanied by staff from the exit section.
