Officers and employees of the Želiezovce Prison and Judicial Guard Institution joined voluntary blood donation for the second time this year. On Wednesday, October 7th, 19 officers and employees confirmed by their participation that willingness to help and solidarity are among the fundamental values and principles that accompany service in the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps.
Every day, thousands of human lives depend on the generosity of blood donors, and our officers and employees quietly belong among these irreplaceable heroes. All colleagues, as members of the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps, protect society, maintain order, and fulfill demanding tasks under difficult conditions. But beyond their mission of serving the homeland, many of us have decided to help society even more—by donating blood.
Courage, discipline, and a sense of responsibility are reflected not only in the performance of service but also in this humane gesture. Our officers and employees are an example of social responsibility. Regular participation in mass blood drives is a quiet yet powerful testimony to the character and values that the corps represents, as evidenced by four first-time donors who gathered the courage and donated the most precious gift of all.
The blood drive took place in cooperation with the National Transfusion Service of the Slovak Republic and with the support of the institution's management. Every drop of blood represents concrete help that saves lives and brings hope. Every drop counts. In this way, the institution's management expresses its gratitude to the officers and employees for their willingness, responsibility, humanity, and solidarity.
