Active labor market measures

On September 16, 2026, a lecture entitled "Active labor market measures" took place at the Remand Prison and Correctional Facility Nitra. The lecture was conducted by instructors from the Counseling and Education Department of the Office of Labor, Social Affairs and Family in Nitra Mgr. Mária Nemkyová and Mgr. Petra Porhajšová.

They paid special attention primarily to topics of education and retraining with a focus on skills development and support for the employment of disadvantaged job seekers.

The interest from the convicted persons was related to questions regarding working conditions that they could also apply after serving their prison sentence. The lecture was carried out as part of a work and social resocialization program for convicted persons, which aims to promote their responsible approach to work. The lecture was evaluated positively and contributed to expanding the knowledge of the convicted persons in the area of maintaining work habits and adapting to the current needs of employers.
