On September 18, 2026, the 2nd annual service pistol shooting competition took place at the Želiezovce Institute for the Execution of Prison Sentences. Five dynamic shooting scenarios were prepared for the participants, which tested their speed, accuracy, tactical thinking, and ability to react correctly under time pressure. The individual scenarios focused on shooting from various distances – short, medium, and long.
In the overall individual evaluation, 1st Lieutenant Viktor Pásztor took 1st place, 2nd Lieutenant Ondrej Bahýľ took second place, and Captain P. B. from the Special Purpose Unit of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Nitra took third place. In the team category, the host team of the Želiezovce Institute won, the Special Purpose Unit of Nitra finished in second place, and the third place went to the team from Banská Bystrica. Among the members of the Prison and Judicial Guard Corps, 1st Lieutenant Viktor Pásztor took first place, 2nd Lieutenant Ondrej Bahýľ finished second, and 2nd Lieutenant Róbert Malík third.
The competition was not only a test of the participants' skills and shooting readiness but also an opportunity to exchange experience and compare the level of training of the individual components. The dynamic nature of the disciplines brought many interesting and challenging situations, in which small differences in speed and accuracy often proved decisive. This year's competition once again confirmed the importance of regular and high-quality training and contributed to the development of cooperation between the participating units.
