On Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in the newly established chapel of the Medical and Rehabilitation Center of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard in Omšenie an exceptional Holy Mass took place. The main celebrant was H.E. Mons. Pavol Šajgalík, Bishop of the Ordinariate of the Armed Forces and Armed Corps of the Slovak Republic, accompanied by the Director of the ZVJS Vicariate and deanery priests. This spiritual celebration was held with the personal participation of the Director of the Hospital for the Accused and Convicted and the Institute for Execution of Prison Sentences in Trenčín, his deputy, as well as members and employees of the Corps.
The main purpose of establishing the chapel in this recreational facility was to provide spiritual services to members, employees, and their family members during their stay at the facility.
A rare and profound moment of the entire event was the conclusion of the service itself. The Bishop expressed his appreciation to the management of the Trenčín prison hospital and institute for their dedicated work and exemplary cooperation with the Ordinariate, while ceremoniously presenting the Director and his deputy with the medal of Saint Sebastian, the patron of the Ordinariate units.
The joint liturgical celebration brought a deep spiritual experience to all present, providing encouragement for their daily demanding service in this specific environment.
