On September 3rd and 4th, 2026, a working meeting of the post-traumatic intervention care team and the negotiation team of the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Trnava took place at the Píla Pension in Horné Orešany.
The two-day intensive program was focused on deepening professional skills, exchanging practical experience, and strengthening inter-agency cooperation.
Topics of expert lectures and workshops:
Tactical and crisis readiness: Participants practiced tactical medical care in emergency situations and de-escalation of crisis states in practice under the guidance of instructors from emergency police units (Trnava, Bratislava).
Psychology and online risks: Experts from the Psychiatric Department of the Trnava Faculty Hospital addressed the issue of suicidality and risk assessment, while representatives of the IPčko organization analyzed risky youth phenomena in the online space.
Safety and integrity: Lectures also covered the integrity of officers (Inspection Service Office of the Police Force) and addressing hybrid attacks (speakers from the Czech Republic).
A lecture on the topic “Use of dynamic security elements in the performance of duty” was presented by Major Mgr. Ondrej Veľký and Major Mgr. Marek Greguš, lecturers at the Prison and Judicial Guard Service Training Institute.
Practical analysis: The end of the event was dedicated to a discussion and analysis of specific case studies in the field of negotiation and crisis intervention for the years 2025 and 2026.
Based on long-standing mutual cooperation between the Prison and Judicial Guard Service Training Institute in Nitra and the Regional Directorate of the Police Force in Trnava, representatives of the Prison and Judicial Guard Service Training Institute also participated in the working meeting, contributing with their lecture to increasing the participants' readiness to handle challenging situations in service practice.
At the conclusion of the meeting, all participants agreed that due to their benefits, meetings of this kind should also be held in the future.
