Lecture by social curators for convicted women in Sučany

On July 23, 2026, a lecture was held at the Correctional Institution for Juveniles in Sučany, intended for convicted women who are currently assigned to the pre-release unit.

The lecture was conducted by social curators for adult natural persons from the Office of Labour, Social Affairs and Family in Banská Bystrica, Mgr. Zuzana Kováčová and Mgr. Daniela Dorčáková.

The main goal of the meeting was to introduce the role of a social curator to the convicted women and explain the possibilities of cooperation during their imprisonment, but especially after their release. The curators described the life situations in which they can provide help and support, whether in solving housing, employment, family relationships, or other problems associated with returning to normal life. At the same time, they encouraged them not to be afraid to seek professional help if they need it. During the lecture, the convicted women had the space to ask questions and discuss topics they were interested in.
