
The Corps of Prison and Court Guard has a new Director General as of August 1, 2026. He is Col. Ing. Jozef Lančarič. He was officially appointed based on a personnel order by the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic, JUDr. Boris Susko, PhD., during an extraordinary meeting of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard Director General's Board held on July 30, 2026. On this occasion, the Minister of Justice particularly highlighted his performance in the position of Deputy for Economic Affairs at the Corps of Prison and Court Guard Directorate General.
The new Director General, Col. Ing. Jozef Lančarič, is a long-standing member of the corps with extensive professional and managerial experience. After graduating from the Faculty of Economics at Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, he joined the Corps of Prison and Court Guard in 1999. During his professional career, he served at the Hrnčiarovce nad Parnou Prison in the roles of Head of the Economics Department and Deputy Director for Economic Affairs. Since 2017, he held the position of Deputy for Economic Affairs at the Corps of Prison and Court Guard Directorate General. From July 1, 2026, he served as the acting Director General of the corps.
In his address, the new Director General expressed his conviction that effective teamwork and open communication are essential prerequisites for the further development and successful operation of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard.
During the Extraordinary Meeting of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard Director General's Board, by personnel order of the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic, the Minister of Justice of the Slovak Republic appoints Lt. Col. Ing. Mgr. Juraj Ondrus as of August 1, 2026 to the position of Deputy for Economic Affairs and simultaneously promotes him to the rank of Colonel.
Members and employees of the Corps of Prison and Court Guard Directorate General congratulated the new Director General and the Deputy for Economic Affairs.
