In Ružomberok, we have beautified the outdoor yards. The main role in this was played by students of the School of Applied Arts, which is part of the Polytechnic Secondary Vocational School, the United School of Commerce and Services, the Business Academy, and the School of Applied Arts in Ružomberok. Sentenced prisoners also lent a helping hand.
The students designed artistic motifs, which they subsequently transferred onto the walls of the outdoor yards. The resulting paintings capture the beauty of nature and bring new colors, a pleasant atmosphere, and visual revitalization to the environment. The realization of this project has contributed to making the spaces where sentenced prisoners spend their free time more cozy. Nature motifs create a more harmonious and peaceful environment, which symbolically brings the beauty of nature closer to them and induces a sense of calm and well-being.
The result of the students' work under the guidance of their teacher and the sentenced prisoners is an example of how art can positively influence an environment and contribute to its humanization. Thanks to their creativity and effort, the outdoor yards have gained a new look, which makes daily moments more pleasant and brings more color, life, and natural harmony into the prison environment.
