A meeting not only on the airwaves of Radio Maria, but live and in person, took place on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at the Želiezovce prison, when the sentenced prisoners were visited by the director of Radio Maria, Father Bruno Branislav Donoval OP, and Ms. Vierka Mikulová, an editor. It was not a meeting of strangers. The community of sentenced prisoners at the Chapel of Divine Mercy in this prison has previously collaborated several times with Radio Maria, offering it recordings of their prayers. These were then broadcast via Radio Maria in the Slovak ether so that they could find their place in the hearts of the listeners and thus spread the good of prayer even beyond the prison walls.
The precious guests did not arrive empty-handed. They brought with them relics of Saint Don Bosco—a saint who did much good, especially for abandoned children and youth in Italy in his time, and prevented them from ending up in prison.
During the encounter with the Word of God at Holy Mass, Father Bruno highlighted one of the characteristics of the God of Christians, who does not look at a person through the lens of law and justice, but through the lens of love. The precious moment of functional silence after the homily was proof that God's words were a balm for the wounded human soul.
The veneration of the relics and the final blessing with them were a dignified conclusion to a lovely meeting.
